I've always thought that football looks better at night under the lights. Unfortunately, that doesn't really apply when you're watching the 5th home defeat in a row in all competitions for the first time in the club's 123 year history. What started out as a promising summer transfer window has turned into a very difficult start to the season.
It was probably one of the better performances of the season, but that's quite depressing. We had some decent chances and a few shots, but there was still a lot of sloppiness and misplaced passes and we didn't make anything of the chances we did have. The atmosphere was less toxic than the Wrexham game, which was fair enough, but still calls for Manning to go at the final whistle as boos rang out for the record breaking defeat.
Sunday is Derby Day, and while Ipswich aren't exactly on fire themselves at the moment either, I can see the 16 year unbeaten run coming to an end, and possibly Manning's time at the club too.
