April 3rd • 40/46 • 1-1 (D)
I'm a little late with this one so I'll keep it brief.
After two weeks out for the international break it was back to Carrow Road for what was previously going to be a relegation 6 pointer against Portsmouth, although now a potential late top 6 push was on the table instead.
We were generally on top to start the game off and had the better chances, with Kvistgaarden going for the spectacular with a bicycle kick and a free kick from Wright almost going straight in, before Mattsson scored a beauty making it 2 from 2. We went off the boil in the second half, and conceded in the 84th minute with ironically a Mattsson own goal after Medic was replaced right before a free kick, making it the first time in 13 games we'd conceded in the second half. Ahmed had a tidy shot saved, but it ended in a draw at home for the first time since Oxford in November (which I wasn't even at, so the last draw I saw at home was last season).
That probably puts an end to the outside chance of a late top 6 push - the priority now is the derby tomorrow.
